My Virtual Machine doesn't boot from cd-rom

If your Virtual Machine boots with an empty harddrive and gives you the errormessage:

    No bootable CD, floppy or hard disk was detected.

But you did assign an operating cd-rom to install from, then check the BIOS of your virtual machine. Most likely your cd-rom is not listed above your harddrive in the boot-order
