My IDE-cd-rom is not detecting any cd's and ISO-images won't mount

If you use VMware Workstation version 3.1 with NetWare 6 IDE CD-ROM's are not detected and ISO-files will mostly not mount. The solution is simple: use SCSI-CD-ROM drives in stead of IDE-drives. As described on this page SCSI is also preferred for harddrives. Don't forget to select the drivers for SCSICD.CDM from NWCONFIG.
